So... I was thinking about disabling Guest Comments. In other words, you can only leave comments if you have a Comic Fury account. What do you guys think? :p

(You have to be registered at ComicFury to leave a comment!)

Hmm, the buffs probably reset after each instance.

Shame this could end badly if one or the other rolls a crit when his opponent is at 10hp.

Popcorn, check. Comfy chair, check. Relax-o-vision glasses, check.

I'm all set.
fellow 22nd Nov 2014, 3:11 PM edit delete reply
Well, Pheadrus' weapon does 3x crit damage, so he already risks that at 20hp.

Hush, Eli - just enjoy the moment.
Congrats, DT!; looking forward to seeing where this plot goes.

why does everyone look like they have downs syndrome?
Wandering Mask 22nd Nov 2014, 3:38 AM edit delete reply

Congrats! 100 pages already, huh? Yayz indeed.

Also: Gratzes to 100 pixels.
It's sad when measures that lock people out have to be taken, but go for it.
How about a story about a time when in-game sanctions against a character backfired?
guy 22nd Nov 2014, 11:39 AM edit delete reply

I'm not sure that has EVER ended well. In oder for sanctions against a character in-game to work, their player has to be (A) Really good at player/character separation, and so not take such things personally, and (B) Not a whiny jerk face.
Raxon 22nd Nov 2014, 7:06 AM edit delete reply
It might be necessary, at least for a while. It makes me kinda sad, because there are a couple legits whowill be affected for the whole damn minute it takes to register.
Guest 22nd Nov 2014, 9:48 AM edit delete reply

Seems like a good idea. There's some jackasses floating around it seems

I concur.

If it will work, I say do it. That is, if it's not too much trouble, anyway.

"Disabling Guest Comments"
Sadly I would be one of the people affected... But with the Dumb ass comments I have seen here I can see why you would do it... I don't get them... They cant be trolling, its not aggravating enough. But I don't see how someone that stupid could survive. How could you think Raxon has a Spiderman avatar? Hes not the only red superhero. And s/he seems to think s/hes making you work harder but your not moderating comments or posting more comics. So that not the case. I'm going to stop reading before I catch stupid.
Lennith 22nd Nov 2014, 10:29 AM edit delete reply

I think the troll means he's making Dragon guy work harder by having to update the website. The owner has made a few changes to how posts are displayed because of this guy.

I doubt they really think Raxon's avvy is Spider-man. Pretty sure at least some of the stupidity's part of their half-assed persona.
Troll-thing, if you read this... Go have /b/ or something show you what trolling really is. There's an art to it; all you're accomplishing here is embarrassing yourself with incompetence.

"Trolling... There's an art to it; all you're accomplishing here is embarrassing yourself with incompetence."
Quoted for emphasis. That's why I've taken to calling failtrolls gremlins instead.

Congrats on 100 comics! Does this mean I'm a member of the "Old Guard" now?

While it can be nice to post without an account... I read multiple Comic Fury comic strips so of course I've got an account. In fact, my only problem is that I can't find a "Log In" spot on the actual comic page. Am I just blind?

If you want to comment on someone else's work on their comment's section, I kind of like having to sign in. I mean, claim your name (whatever name you end up making it). ;)
DeS_Tructive 23rd Nov 2014, 8:32 AM edit delete reply
Doesn't it show up whenever you attempt to post a comment?
Otaku 23rd Nov 2014, 9:54 PM edit delete reply

When I click "reply" it brings up the "Guest" comment window, just asking for a screen name.
DeS_Tructive 24th Nov 2014, 9:59 AM edit delete reply
Check if you can log in by following this link:

"To clarify"
Oh, I can log in on the Comic Fury main page. I'd prefer it if I could log in directly on the page of the comic I am reading (I don't think I can on Grandline 3.5 or some of the others I read either). Obviously I comment often enough that it doesn't stop me. ;)

I brought it up as the one reason I could understand people being annoyed with the Guest Option vanishing; now you'll have to go there to log in then come back to comment. Unless you're the type that constantly leaves yourself logged in (I don't).
Kyo 24th Nov 2014, 9:17 PM edit delete reply
the reason you can't do that is security related unfortunately. Basically, if you entered your comicfury login data on a webcomic, nothing would stop the owner of that webcomic from being technically able to take over your account. Not that any legit owner would do that, but unfortunately you have to account for all kinds of people of course.
fellow 22nd Nov 2014, 2:08 PM edit delete reply
I suddenly created a comic fury account for some reason. How curious.
Ilmaros 22nd Nov 2014, 2:39 PM edit delete reply

Well, regarding to having to make an account, it would take some real considering for me to do since my general principle is not to, but i do really like the comments of both The Legendary Pixel Crew and Grand Line 3.5, so maybe in the end i'd do one... just can't say for sure (though anyways i'm too busy lately to actually say much of worth), but on the other side, getting rid of the troll failure wannabe would probably make us all happy... Anyway, i suppose i'll delay my decision until after the guest comments are actually removed.

Still, DT, doing it that way would be useless if you don't have a way to ban accounts from commenting on your site (i suppose you do have one, but since i don't really know how all this works i just thought i'd point out the obvious, just in case).

On another topic, congratulations on this comics 100th page. Your work is great, both in The Legendary Pixel Crew and Grand Line 3.5, so keep it up as long as you can and want to.

(And just in case the next time i drop by the guest comments are disabled and i decide not to make an account, it's been a pleasure, guys. Stay well)

"Meteor Knight"
While I have only recently joined as a guest, I agree, registration might be necessary.
Blitzer 22nd Nov 2014, 4:56 PM edit delete reply

But then again, that's my opinion. If you want to make people register that's fine, I'll suck your dick either way.
Raxon 22nd Nov 2014, 6:14 PM edit delete reply
You swore you would never tell anyone about that!
Rooker 23rd Nov 2014, 2:36 PM edit delete reply

I didn't even realize LPC was at 100! Good job DT!

Welp, guess I'm gonna have to make a Comic Fury account. I'm not going to choose to subject decent people to wasted time by insisting I be allowed to have my lazy guest status.
...I hope I don't forget my password. That's been happening a lot lately.
Rooker 23rd Nov 2014, 2:44 PM edit delete reply
Wow, the time that must have gone into deleting all of those. Good job DT.

On a totally unrelated note: Rooker is now a ComicFury account holder. :D

"congrats on 100"
I was going to write a post saying I wouldn't register for an account (I still supported disabling guest comments), but I changed my mind. If I ever want to be part of storytime again, I'd really like to have this name reserved.

DT: you have two awesome comics. please keep updating.

Storytime folks: thanks for adding to the entertainment. I don't usually scroll down for viewer/reader comments anywhere else, and these are the only forums I have EVER posted on. Good work guys.

...when did that happened? Anyway, I'm cool with disabling guest comments.
