Ah, threatened squares. What fun! Tell a story about proper or interesting maneuvering!

Well, this isn't really about maneuvering I did, so much as it is about me taking advantage of what the monsters had done.
D&D encounters, forget which campaign - neverwinter, I think - but the point was, we were on top of a building, facing down some generic bad guys.
I was an essentials mage - charm school - and I let fly with beguiling strands.
Beguiling strands does lame damage, but it's a blast - so I didn't provoke AOOs - and with my build, I had set it up so that I got to push everyone SIX squares.
Long story short, I derailed the encounter by pushing the enemies off the side of the building. It was priceless.

I once forgot the diameter of an AOO fire spell, since I was playing a fire-Clericzilla that the DM had homebrewed instead of a character who used the Sorc/Wiz list. At least nobody died. *hopes that an upcoming story theme gives me the chance to mention one of the times I did something stupid and it worked, or even something clever*
