Is that a Dresden Files reference? In those books Odin also wears the mantle of Santa Claus.

IIRC, some aspects of Santa Claus are taken from the myths about Odin. Not all of them, mind; obviously, you've got references to Saint Nicholas, stuff popularized through holiday commercials, etc.

Yeah... but being a lip service follower of the gods because they just exist is like don't believe to be actual "god" and are just powerful outsider.

I just realise that the one who said to believe in santa Claus want to kill a god. Anyone.
