It doesn't?

As a reminder, I'm that oddball who reads this strip while having only the tiniest bit of Third Edition D&D experience from 12-15 years ago. XP Yeah, no 3.5 or Pathfinder; I've picked up bits and pieces from the overlap and from other webcomics. ^^'

I know it is annoying, but some of the other RPG's I play include stuff like this... and their spheres are actually spheres. XD Granted, they may not be movable, so that could explain why they don't have flattened bottoms...

Despite being called Emergency Force Sphere it is actually a hemisphere (meant for battles on the ground)
Actually, if it were a full sphere he wouldn't even be able to attack out of it with most spells as it would block line of effect (Because it's basically a solid invisible wall)- though of course invisible things are not particularly interesting to look at so the visual representation here is nice :)

Correct. Here's the full description of the spell if you're curious.

In Eli’s defense. His plan seems to mostly involve lighting them up, up, up, light them up, up, up. Or letting Zero kill it. Both of which are usually good plans. Since it fire can’t kill it, and Zero can’t kill it...they were probably doomed anyways.
