Reminds me of the time my character's evil twin just happened to be the unsuspecting amnesiac paladin played by someone else.

Boy, was the lady that played him surprised. For reference, explaining that your evil twin was cursed to forget his life, and live anew as a woman is NOT generally smiled upon by the owner of said character. Even if she didn't write a backstory at all and copped out with "She has amnesia."

I thought it was funny to have the paladin be a reformed serial killer, at least.

Oh, damn, i hadn't noticed that the new strip was already out. Well, since it's come to this, and considering i'm to lazy to rewrite what i already wrote once, or to copy it and paste it, i'll tell you here that i replied to your last comment in the previous strip, Raxon, so read it if you'd like. Now, regarding what you just said... I think anyone who goes with a 'she has amnesia' and haven't thought anything besides that had it comming, though it's usually the GM who takes up on the task of screwing with said players. In any case, being a reformed serial killer is a good chance for roleplaying, specially if you slowly start remembering your past deeds and have to choose between your old ways or your new self. And an awesome way to fall again and become the antagonist of the story. I wouldn't be complaining.

I've gone with an amnesiac character, but, unlike most who do it, I didn't do it to avoid writing a backstory. On the contrary, I wrote a very detailed backstory and handed it to the DM for use as plot hooks and such.

It lead to fun times.

I got the honor of describing the murder victims. We had to assure her that we weren't trying to ruin her character.

I made special mention of a mask of copper formed over the victims' faces, made by pouring the molten copper over them and just letting them suffocate, then pressing a couple gold coins where the eyes should be. The victim would then have long, flowery, romanticized poetry written specifically written about them, tattooed across their chests. They were always left in normal, everyday poses, like sitting on a bench, leaning against a wall, or lounging by a fountain.

Needless to say, the schoolteacher left sitting at her desk might have crossed a line. My favorite was a a man left posed outside a woman's window, to look like a peeping tom, Another impressively terrible one was the woman posed on a pole at a strip club. It was just all kinds of messed up. I ended up calling down the gods to judge her themselves. They determined that she was no longer the person who committed those crimes. That was pretty much the end of it.

"New Graphics Coming... Sooooooon!"
So my graphic artist just started grad school and I'm about to start grad school, thus neither of us have time for anything involving fun besides what other people make. A version of some goblins was shown to me but they're still in the works. I'll let you know once they're ready. Should add some variety here and there so it's not the same human-orc jokes all the time. Don't forget, there are elves and lizardmen yet to be exploited!
