Sounds awesome, really it's not. Just lets you try feats before you're stuck with them forever and winds up trading something like 20 damage per hit away for being able to duplicate a 2nd lv spell on themselves for 1 min a day.

Except at 20th level you can get like 10 combat feats at once, if you really want to. Though, it's unclear whether you can pick up feat chains with that.

you can as long as all prereqs are met, still not worth it as there isn't a combat feat out there worth a damn you don't already have permanently with your 21 normal combat feats

Eh, I could always use a few more. Not that I'd be willing to give up weapon training and mastery for any of them. I mean, +4 to hit and damage and +1 crit multiplier and can't be disarmed is very nice.

Actually, I will be honest, the Martial Master looks like -exactly- what a fighter could use to become legendary.

Yes, you sacrifice damage. If you are a good fighter though you still deal decent to awesome damage. And what you trade for it is something a lot of fighters would love.

Adaptability. Fighting someone improved trip doesn't work on because many feet? Well I shall use something else.

Is it perfect? No, but it's interesting at least.
