Yeah Our Party is screwed, the only thing that might save them is Killer GM applying to both Villian and PC alike.

That may actually be a sound strategy. Even some killer GMs see the game more as cooperative. Especially if someone in the party is willing to take the hit (likely a literal as well as metaphorical one) a player or even entire group can give the GM good reason to advance the narrative in their favor.

Huge gamble, of course, but even among my original role-play group it sometimes worked, and we were all teenagers at the time so... yeah, teenagers. ;)
