handy if you've got a source of renuable Ki like drunken master monk... but looses badly when compared to the utility of 2nd lv spells

You may be right about 2nd level spells being better but I think the moment weighed heavily on her choice. More over, she's now only one level away from qualifying for the arcane trickster prestige class, which would be pretty handy for her.

Apparently everything is named ghost slayer. Maybe the entire group will pick up "I can get any ability from a list... and it's going to be ghost slayer".
