I am totally with him on deceptively pointless skill checks! It keeps people on their toes and promotes paranoia...and can make people react far more unpredictably. Which translates as more hilariously.

It's a pretty easy way to cut down on the Metagaming and Munchkinery, I'm a pretty big fan of excessive skill checks.

I'm surprised Shen didn't do this already. It seems perfectly up his alley. Baloney I can't see doing it since it could ruin her puzzles, and I don't think Fowle is smart enough to do that... Maybe Bull if it exists?

What other GM's DO exist anyways? Bull? Phooey?

Or just roll for the players, so they don't know there was a roll, so they don't have a chance to metagame. Sure, BS rolls are good for building paranoia, but it just frustrates the players after a while, and wastes time that could be spent *playing the game*.
